Testing for a clear requirement
Welder testing checks a welder’s work against a stated requirement. Send the standard or customer request, the welding process and the material.
We qualify welders for fusion welding of steels to ISO 9606, AS, ASME, AWS and API requirements. Tests are examined by people holding an IIW welding qualification (IWE, IWT or IWS), AS 2214 welding supervisor certification, CERT 10 or an equivalent.
Prepare before the test
We need to agree on the test location, equipment, materials and date. Tell us how many welders need testing and whether you have an existing procedure.
At your workshop
Welders can be tested at your premises. You supply the welding equipment, consumables and test plates, and we agree the test pieces and preparation before the visit.

Is this the same as training?
Training helps people learn or improve a skill. A qualification test checks whether a welder meets the stated test requirements. Let us know if your staff need preparation as well as testing.
